]]> The official Olympics website needs to factor in requirements related to design, UI (User Interaction), and UX (User Experience). This is one of the toughest branding challenges in the world. Fred Gelli heads the firm, Tátil and is responsible for the design of the Rio 2106 identity. He described the Olympics branding challenge as, "the most complex visual identity in the world because it has to be printed on a pen and at the same time it has to dress the whole city,” This is not surprising because the requirements set by the International Olympic Committee include a dozen different attributes. The two most important requirements dictate that designs should be culturally appropriate and at the same time universally recognizable. The current Rio 2016 Summer Olympics website meets this tough challenge heads on. It is a masterpiece of web design. Every designer needs to take a close look to learn as much as they can. We have highlighted some of the elements here in this Infographic, take a peek.
